April 1

The Computer Science website's address has changed to http://www.cs.kent.ac.uk. The old address will continue to work for sometime, but please update your bookmarks.

Year 2001

The java (jdk) documentation which was in /teaching/resources/java/LOCAL-ONLY now resides in /systems/software/solaris/packages/jdk/jdk/. Documentation for most of the software available on teaching machines is available from /systems/software/solaris/

The newly designed Research pages went live replacing the old webpages located at the same web address (http://www.ukc.ac.uk/research/).
However, the collection of new Research Group webpages has moved from http://www.cs.ukc.ac.uk/research/ to http://www.cs.ukc.ac.uk/research/groups/ .

The Parallel Research Group was renamed and relocated to be the Concurrency Research Group at http://www.cs.ukc.ac.uk/research/crg/

Year 2000

December

The new Applied and Interdisciplinary Informatics Research Group (or AII for short) was created. The Infomation Systems Research Group ceased to exist.
